Cut Seed Beads

Cut Seed Beads from the Seed Bead family are the only type of glass beads made using a unique technique of chopping glass tubes into pieces, rounding and cutting them, a technique that was created at the end of the 15th century in Venice and one that was cultivated and developed in Bohemia, in the Jizera Mountains in the north of the country, where down the generations glassmakers have taken it to technical and environmental perfection. It is from here that Bohemian cut seed beads, unique in the world, are sold under the JABLONEX to more than 80 countries over five continents.

Most magnificent of all are miniature Cut Seed Beads known as Charlotte Beads, the most popular size in this category of product (seed bead size 13/0) and since ancient times used to crown unique Indian cult items, decorations and souvenirs.

The unique coloured glass in which JABLONEX produces Cut Seed Beads is incomparable in terms of quantity and quality. It is divided into a number of categories, each of which includes dozens of types and shades across the entire colour spectrum.

This wide range of coloured glass is supplemented by an assortment of surface finishes that are used to decorate JABLONEX Seed Beads with the aim of achieving further optical effects.

Another attribute in the production of glass products has made its way more and more to the forefront in recent years – environmentally friendliness. The demands on protecting the environment in the production of glass and glass components and the demands on minimising the content of pollutants in these products have become key in dealing with strategic issues concerning the future of glass production in the Czech Republic. We are extremely proud of the fact that the production of glass and glass components at the JABLONEX GROUP is in line with the very strictest European Union parameters, in many cases actually exceeding them.
