Three-Cuts

Cut flashes of light.Three-Cuts from the seed bead family are the only type of glass beads made using a unique technique of chopping glass tubes into pieces and subsequently cutting them, a technique that was created at the end of the 15^th century in Venice and one that has been cultivated and developed since the 18^th century in Bohemia, in the Jizera Mountains in the north of the country, where down the generations glassmakers have taken it to technical and environmental perfection. It is from here that Bohemian three-cuts, unique in the world, are sold under the JABLONEX brand to more than 80 countries over five continents.

The unique coloured glass in which JABLONEX produces Three-Cuts is incomparable in terms of quantity and quality. It is divided into a number of categories, each of which includes dozens of types and shades across the entire colour spectrum. This wide range of coloured glass is supplemented by an assortment of surface finishes that are used to decorate JABLONEX seed beads with the aim of achieving further optical effects.

Another attribute in the production of glass products has made its way more and more to the forefront in recent years – environmentally friendliness. The demands on protecting the environment in the production of glass and glass components and the demands on minimising the content of pollutants in these products have become key in dealing with strategic issues concerning the future of glass production in the Czech Republic.
