Glass rays of sunlight. JABLONEX bugles are among the best selling types of rocaille from the broad range of seed beads. The tradition of bugle production stretches back to the 1860s. At that time bugles were used for lining ladies' evening dresses and in the production of handbags and other fashion accessories.

Bugles from the seed bead family are the only type of glass beads made using a unique technique of chopping glass tubes into pieces, a technique that was created at the end of the 15^th century in Venice and one that has been cultivated and developed since the 18^th century in Bohemia, in the Jizera Mountains in the north of the country, where down the generations glassmakers have taken it to technical and environmental perfection. It is from here that the Bohemian seed beads sold under the JABLONEX brand are sold to more than 80 countries over five continents.

The unique coloured glass in which JABLONEX produces bugles is incomparable in terms of quantity and quality. It is divided into a number of categories, each of which includes dozens of types and shades across the entire colour spectrum.

This wide range of coloured glass is supplemented by an assortment of surface finishes that are used to decorate JABLONEX bugles with the aim of achieving further optical effects.

Another attribute in the production of glass products has made its way more and more to the forefront in recent years – environmentally friendliness. The demands on protecting the environment in the production of glass and glass components and the demands on minimising the content of pollutants in these products have become key in dealing with strategic issues concerning the future of glass production in the Czech Republic.
