Glass Plaques

A traditional souvenir and an uncommon gift. Blank, undecorated glass blocks and stands – semi-finished products for decorating.

Blank glass plaques allow our customers – in this case processors and decorators – to apply decorative motifs to the blank surfaces of the plaques using a range of techniques: sand-blasting, cutting and engraving. Simple and fast modern technology has now almost completely replaced the once-common plaques with relief motifs that were shaped on the plaques directly in the mould with an impression on the hot glass.

The results of the contemporary methods of decoration certainly have a different character, but still allow for the creation of an endless number of designs far more effectively and quicker than with the original technique of a relief created in a mould. It is also possible to supply plaques with one cut surface for more demanding plans. One special group of plaques are those with space in which to place a clock or picture. You can find inspiration in our “Genius Loci Bohemiae” collection of picture paperweights with regional images.
