Pressing Rods

Currents of colour and energy – a cure for everyday familiarity. Coloured glass rods, transparent and deep, that are mainly intended for costume jewellery production.

Glass rods, materials that are so typical of the Jizera Mountain glassmaking region, are used in the production of “pressed” beads, costume jewellery stones and other small pressed products. The easily adjusted and processed amount of glass contained in a glass rod is a step to accommodate the need that the people of today have for colour and variety – the processor is not required to use a huge amount of the same material and can use a variety of colours to invigorate our lives and make sure they are not one-dimensional.

The wide range of colours allows designers to fully unbridle imagination and enliven our world with creative experiments and a number of small objects of interest. It is then up to the processors to use gifted human hands, sophisticated tools and powerful energy to liberate the beauty within these rods.
